FAQs

These are quick answers to the questions people ask most often about training, snooze, reminders, tasks and syncing.

Mail and senders

  • Does archiving a spam email unblock the sender? No. Unlike pressing S (Not spam) on an email in the spam box, archiving spam emails does not unblock the sender, and future mail from that sender will still be spammed.
  • If I train a sender to Other while All Accounts is selected, which accounts does it affect? All of them. Sender training is stored per user, not per account.

Snooze and reminders

  • Where do snoozed emails come back to? The Follow-Ups box, sorted with the most recently returned on top — except a snooze of one hour or less, which returns to the same box you snoozed it from.
  • How do I stop being reminded about an email I sent? Reply reminders cancel themselves when someone replies; otherwise archive the email from Follow-Ups, or turn reminders off in Settings → General → Follow-Ups.

Tasks

  • Why did my task move to the Future box instead of snoozing? It exceeded the Snooze Limit in Settings → Tasks, and its star rating was at or below the "Snooze Limit applies to" level.

Mistakes and syncing

  • Can I undo a mistake? Almost always. Actions show an Undo toast, and ⌘/Ctrl-Z undoes the last action — except a send in its countdown, which is stopped only by the Undo button in the sending notice.
  • Why is my mail still syncing? The first sync of a large mailbox runs in batches. Press U at any time to check the server for new mail.
  • Why was I signed out? WonderMail signs you out after 7 days without activity.

Pro Tip: when you are unsure whether an action is reversible, do it anyway and watch for the Undo toast — ⌘/Ctrl-Z reverses the last action even after the toast fades from view.
