The Inbox and Other

WonderMail splits incoming mail into two boxes so important mail is never buried. Here's how the split works and how to train it.

The two boxes

  • Inbox — the mail that matters.
  • Other — newsletters, receipts, and bulk mail.

Training a sender

  • Drag their email between Inbox and Other in the header tabs, or use Move to. From then on, mail from that sender lands in the box you chose.
  • ⌘O trains the sender of the open email to appear in Other.
  • ⌘I trains them to appear in Inbox.

Training is per user, not per account: if you train a sender to Other, their mail goes to Other on every connected account.

Pro Tip: train once, not repeatedly. Because training follows the sender rather than the account, a single drag fixes that sender everywhere — there is no need to repeat it on your other addresses.

Dragging between boxes

Dragging an email out of Archive onto Inbox or Other un-archives it into that box. If the sender is trained for Other and you drop them on Inbox, WonderMail asks you to confirm first.

Pro Tip: every move shows an Undo toast, so train aggressively. If you send the wrong sender to Other you can reverse it in one click.
