Settings
This is a map of every Settings tab and what you can change in each one.
The tabs
- General: timezone, quick-snooze buttons and their shared return time, follow-up reminder defaults, Auto-capitalize for the composer, your AI profile, and your data controls.
- Appearance: choose your own colours for the top header, email list, labels list, vertical toolbar, and reading pane. Open email highlight sets the colour behind the email you are currently reading in the list; unread emails are marked by a blue dot to the left of the sender name. Each row has a colour swatch and a hex box, Reset returns one row to the standard colour, and Reset all colours restores everything. Your choices are saved to your account and appear on every device you sign in to.
- Accounts: connect Google, Microsoft, or IMAP accounts, set the Main account, reconnect a disconnected one, or remove an account.
- Mail arrives in batches. If a batch is interrupted, WonderMail re-reads that batch from its start instead of moving past it, so no email is skipped; Settings → Accounts shows progress while a catch-up runs.
- Twice a day (6 AM and 6 PM Eastern) WonderMail compares the last 48 hours of your mail with your provider and automatically pulls in anything missing.
- Signatures: create signatures here; set the default signature and Auto-display per mailbox from the Signatures menu in the composer.
- Meeting links: save the meeting links you send most often, each with its own wording, for the video-camera button in the compose toolbar.
- Labels, Block List and Rules: manage labels, blocked senders, and automatic sender rules (label, archive, label + archive, or delete).
- Tasks: the Snooze Limit and which star levels it applies to.
- Shortcuts: the full keyboard reference with a tooltip on every entry.
- Activity: a searchable record of syncs, sends, rule firings, connection attempts, and failures, including the account, sender and recipient involved. Filter it by email address or email ID.
- Activity → Errors: every error WonderMail hits, newest first — each red notice you were shown, plus errors that never showed a notice such as app crashes, failed sends and sync failures. Each row gives the time, a plain description and the technical detail, and Copy error log copies the list for support.
- The same error happening many times is bundled under one heading with a count, such as “12 times”; click the heading to open the individual entries. Recent send failures groups repeats the same way.
- One crash is recorded once even though the app catches it twice, and entries recorded while the app is being edited in the Lovable preview carry a grey “Preview” tag and are left out of admin alert emails.
- Changelog: every bug fix and new feature is listed at /changelog, newest first, with the date and time in Eastern time, whether it was a bug fix or a new feature, a short title and a description of what changed and how to use it. Buttons at the top filter the list to All, New Feature or Bug Fix, each new feature has a More info… link that opens its help page in a new tab, and a fix that a later fix replaced is removed so only the change that holds is listed.
Error notices stay on screen until you close them with the “x” in their top-right corner, so a failure can never disappear before you have read it. Every notice shows that “x” in light gray at all times (no need to hover to find it). Success and informational notices still fade on their own.
Activity opens with the last 90 days. Keep scrolling and older activity loads automatically, marked by an “Older than 90 days” divider, until the list reaches the very beginning and shows “No more activity”.
Pro Tip: tune the quick-snooze durations in Settings → General to the rhythms you actually use. They sit in the fixed center rail between the email list and reading pane, so the right ones save clicks all day.
AI profile
"Who you are" and "Your goals" (up to 10,000 characters each) give AI-drafted task notes context about you.
Saving
Settings save when you click Save — nothing is written in the background while you type.
Pro Tip: Activity is the first place to look when something behaves unexpectedly — it records syncs, sends, rule firings and failures with the account and addresses involved.
